BITTER HARMONY
For their exhibition “Bitter Harmony,” Céline Berger and Slinko brought together scenes of an idyllic commune and studies of a war-devastated landscape. The convergence of these themes reflects both artists’ experiences of having lived in utopian but ultimately failed societies, as well as their reflections on social cohesion and its fragility.
This exhibition provides the audience with an opportunity to contemplate the tensions between competing human desires, and highlights nature’s capacity to respond to human actions.
