THE REGISTRY

THE REGISTRY is a long-term project collecting data on the settlements in Donbas affected by the war. These settlements number well over a thousand, from cities to the smallest rural communities, and the project creates a visual record of each. Drawing on available data about levels of destruction, occupation, or liberation, the project records each settlement’s name and translates its land area into a scaled square. The name and the black square are then printed onto an individual card by members of the Ukrainian diaspora. BECOME PART OF THIS PROJECT!

The process is simple: Slinko will meet you in New York at your convenience and will take 10-15 prints of different settlements. The session takes about 45 minutes from start to finish and uses water-soluble ink. Sign up below!
